It’s Officially College Football Hype Video Season

I’m a little scared to put this out into the universe because it seems like the universe hates happiness this year…but we’ve made it. Labor Day weekend is next weekend. Starbucks is starting to add pumpkin to everything they sell. California is on fire. It’s officially pre-fall. Which means one thing…it’s College Football Hype Video Season. The theatrical trailer before the full release. The only thing I care about today is a video of college aged men in full pads featuring some musical artist that makes me feel old as hell. It has arrived…the drop from ESPN that we have all been waiting for…the 2020 college football hype video.

Now a lot of things featured in this video like fans, bands, and fireworks, won’t be happening this season. But that’s ok. This got me feeling a vibe, and I can ride into the season on that fake vibe. How does it look without the Big Ten or Pac 12? Great! Who needs ’em? Do I need to sit around and watch my team lose to somebody like Purdue every Saturday? Absolutely not. Honestly, this might be the best for all of us. I’m going to be in a GREAT mood this fall now that every Saturday isn’t a giant letdown. Let’s watch a little FCS this Saturday starting with Austin Peay vs Central Arkansas. The only thing I know about those schools is that I’m watching them play football this Saturday. Then we can ease into SEC and ACC football. Big boy football. To hell with the Big Ten. The only thing I’m not ready for is how much Gene Wojciechowski and Tom Rinaldi are about to make us cry.

This will all probably be canceled by week 2 but at least we have today. We had the hype video and that counts for something these days.
