Internet Reacts to NFL Honoring Dreasjon Reed

The NFL has honored recently deceased Dreasjon Reed. They call  him a “social justice hero” and named him as one of 87 victims of “systemic racism” in our nation. Reed was shot and killed by an Indianapolis officer following a chase back in May. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says the 21-year-old fired shots at an officer in an exchange of gunfire. He also live streamed the chase.

The NFL posted about the honor for Dreasjon, and of course Twitter had a field day with it.

The comments came firing in:

The NFL has its heart in the right place (or its pocketbook) with their social justice initiative, but they really should think long and hard on who they’re selecting to honor. This obviously isn’t a clear cut choice.

There’s really zero positive comments coming from their latest selection.
