Internet Reacts to Adam Silver’s ‘Christmas’ Explanation on Why James Harden Wasn’t Suspended

It’s Christmas season, which means it’s time to be lenient? NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, appearing on ESPN, said Houston Rockets star James Harden was not suspended because “The precedent is that discipline gets ratcheted up. It’s Christmas. It was a first offense.” Silver said “in a way he got lucky.” If the game had been played, Harden would have been docked 1 game’s pay.

The NBA caters to its star players like no other league.  This isn’t surprising at all. What is surprising is Adam Silver using Christmas as an excuse to give him a slap on the wrist.
