Giannis is paying it forward to Rachel Nichols. Immediately following the Bucks winning the Larry O’Brien trophy, Giannis shared something special with ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols. The Bucks MVP asked Nichols if somebody has ever given her the Larry O Brien trophy before, she replied “no,”
Giannis then handed her the trophy, and Nichols was more than excited to hold it.
Antetekounmpo added that he wanted to share it with Nichols, and when the reporter said it was Giannis who did all the work, the NBA Finals MVP simply responded that he just did his part.

Giannis sharing some trophy love while we were waiting for Khris Middleton – just flat-out grateful to all the players, coaches & so many others around the NBA who’ve been so incredibly supportive these past couple weeks. The Bucks superstar knows his hard work was the real reason the Bucks won, but it’s nice to see him show appreciation to everyone who works with the NBA.
That’s the gift that keeps on giving.
