Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson is one of the most underrated players in the league. He’s also one of the most outspoken. Both on the field, and on social media, Jackson makes sure his voice is heard. On Wednesday night, Jackson shared his thoughts on Joe Biden and his potential tax hike.

So, maybe Jackson isn’t all-in on the MAGA train. He just wanted to share some of his thoughts on the tax plan being proposed by the Biden-Harris campaign.
Here’s some context on how this plan would affect Eddie Jackson, and other people in his situation.
Joe Biden has proposed to raise the top individual income tax rate (the rate for individuals with taxable income greater than $400K) from the current 37% to 39.6%.
The contract extension Eddie signed on Jan. 3 has a $14.6M AAV; 2.6% of 14.6M is $379,600. https://t.co/g66bxFM4RK

In Eddie Jackson’s defense, that is a lot of money to be giving to the government. But, he can probably afford it. People on Twitter had mixed reactions to Jackson’s dig at Joe Biden.

Think about those who aren’t making $400K or higher…how soon we forget…it wasn’t too long ago you were on the opposite side of this

Mine will actually go down. Sorry millionaires hate paying their fair share, while the rest of us have to pick up their slack.

This election is bound to be one of the most contentious of all time, for both sides. We’ve seen plenty of athletes speak out for what they believe in, and I’d expect to see more in the near future. Buckle up, this election could bring out the worst in a lot of people.
