Doc Rivers Campaigned With Joe Biden In Philly And Urged The American People To Vote

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are in the final days of campaigning for the upcoming presidential election. Biden and Harris have visited numerous battleground states in an attempt to gain as many votes as possible. On Sunday they visited Philadelphia and they had a little help from the new 76ers coach, Doc Rivers. Doc Rivers gave a very moving speech, urging the American people to vote for Biden and Harris.

Doc Rivers couldn’t help but use some coaching metaphors to stress the importance of exercising your right to vote.

“We have so much at stake, everybody. We have so much to do still,” Doc Rivers said. “I’m coming up to you as your coach today — how about that? So, I want you to understand this. We’re in the 3rd quarter. The 4th quarter is on Tuesday. We have to close the game on Tuesday. And it doesn’t matter how long you have to wait in line — don’t leave that line Tuesday! If you’re there for 1 hour or 2 hours or 3 .… don’t leave that line! You stay the course!”

The current President has been quite polarizing and there are many people out there who are excited to see him potentially lose out, come Tuesday night. Doc Rivers is clearly one of those people. Rivers, who used to be friends with President Donald Trump, claimed Trump is bad for the country and explained he believes electing Biden/Harris is the best way to repair America. “This is a country that needs to come together. We have to come together if we want to be great. And the only way we’re going to come together is by Joe Biden being our president and Kamala Harris being our Vice President.”

Doc Rivers is urging Americans to vote for Biden/Harris, but even if you don’t you should still vote. Don’t just sit back and watch. Vote.
