Deshaun Watson Accuser Receiving Death Threats For Going Public

The Deshaun Watson situation continues to boil up as he is facing 22 cases of sexual assault and misconduct. One of the women who went public opted to remain anonymous with her filings. However, a Texas court reportedly ruled that the women publicly disclose their names. According to NBC Sports, one of the accusers received a ton of backlash for her claims. Ashley Solis has received at least 10 death threats since going public on Tuesday. Take a look at her DMs and emails to see the type of things people are saying.

Via Mike Meltser, attorney Tony Buzbee opposed the motion to require the use of the plaintiff’s name by arguing that Ashley Solis has received at least 10 death threats since going public on Tuesday. That argument did not prevail, and frankly, it could make the 20 unnamed plaintiffs more likely to accept a reasonable settlement in lieu of attaching their names to their claims against Watson.

And now you understand why women rarely come forward with sexual assault cases. The whole legal process is a headache and a half and involves attaching your name to the case. Given what Ashley Sole is experiencing, it should be easy to see why so many women opt to keep their anonymity.

Deshaun Watson has already incurred some consequences of the allegations and things don’t seem to be getting any brighter for the Texans quarterback. Thus far, Watson has denied all allegations, however, 22 claims are just too many for it to be a coincidence.
