Dell Curry, Steve Johnson Reportedly College Buddies Prior to Cheating, Affair Allegations

Dell Curry and Steve Johnson college buddies? Former Patriots tight end Steven Johnson was in the headlines this week. Johnson was a solid player for Virginia Tech from 1984 to 1987. He was also a former New England Patriots player, but now he’ll forever be known as the guy who Sonya Curry  is having an affair with, allegedly.

It was reported earlier in the week that Johnson had an affair with Dell Curry’s estranged wife, Sonya Curry. Dell Curry stated that Sonya cheated on him with the ex-NFL player.

Dell, Steven Johnson, and Sonya all attended Virginia Tech at the same time, and based off this tweet below, the three were quite friendly, and would even travel to college basketball games throughout the years.

In a statement to PEOPLE, the former couple wrote that their decision to part ways after 33 years of marriage came “after exploring a trial separation over the past year.”

They added, “as this comes with a great deal of sadness, our focus and desire is for our family’s continued happiness.”

Sounds like their college days spilled over into their adult lives.
