Damian Lillard Is Giving Back To Restaurants And Struggling Families During COVID

Damian Lillard is a good man.

We all know that local businesses are struggling mightily during the COVID-19 pandemic. While each state has different lockdown procedures, it isn’t easy for any local restaurant or store to bring in the traffic they used to pre-pandemic. Damian Lillard is stepping up to help these places during this tough time.

Damian Lillard is teaming up with his Toyota dealership to help restaurants in the town of McMinnville, Oregon. Lillard is invited all restaurants to stop by his dealership with a $100 gift card, and he will purchase them. He is then going to use the gift card to help feed poor families for the holiday season. What a great idea, and unbelievable gesture by Lillard.

Oregon is entering a 14 day “freeze” period where people will not be allowed to eat out at restaurants. This will hopefully slow the spread of COVID-19.

Lillard has been a pillar for the Oregon community ever since he arrived to play for the Trailblazers. he has also consistently been one of the most deadly players in the league. Unfortunately for Lillard, his Portland Trailblazers have struggled to get over the hump.

In this day-in-age, teams need 3 star players to win in the NBA. Damian Lillard and CJ Mccollum can’t do it all by themselves.

It’s nice to see Damian Lillard sticking up for his community during these hard times. Hopefully other athletes and NBA players follow suit.
