NBA 2K23 Ratings: Kevin Durant Already Upset With Where He Was Listed in the Latest NBA Video Game

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant always seems to think he’s being slighted in some way, and such was the case when the ratings came out for NBA 2K23 on Tuesday morning.

Ahead of the NBA season, the rankings for the popular video game have Giannia Antetokounmpo as the highest rated NBA player at a 97 overall. KD, Steph Curry, Lebron James, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid are just below the Milwaukee Bucks superstar at 96 overall.

Still, Durant thinks he should not only be ranked as the top NBA player, but he also believes there’s no reason he shouldn’t be a 99 overall in the game.

KD quickly took to social media to share his displeasure with where he was listed.

“Aye @Ronnie2KI’m gonna need an explanation on why I’m not a 99? This has become laughable,” he wrote on Twitter.

At the start of the offseason, Kevin Durant made it known that he wanted to be traded away from the Nets after a tumultuous 2021 season. But after meeting with the team’s brass on several occasions, he made the ultimate decision to run it back for (at least) one more season.

“Steve Nash and I, together with Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai, met with Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman in Los Angeles yesterday. We have agreed to move forward with our partnership.  We are focusing on basketball, with one collective goal in mind: build a long lasting franchise to bring a championship to Brooklyn,” Nets GM Sean Marks said in a statement .

After getting swept by the Celtics in the first round of last year’s playoffs, Kevin Durant and the Nets are going to have to come out with a vengeance next season. And maybe then he’ll be able to regain his status as the very best player in the NBA.
