Dak Prescott Says Return To Cowboys Is The ‘Only Way’ He Sees It

There has been a lot of speculation centered around Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott in the early-going on the offseason. Prescott is scheduled to be a free agent, but Jerry Jones and the Cowboys’ brass has maintained that they’d like Dak to be their QB next season.

Prescott was in a similar situation last season, and was ultimately tabbed with the franchise tag. That’ll be an option once again for next season. While many around the game feel that playing under the franchise tag again might irritate Prescott, he seems like he’s preparing for another season in Dallas.

Cowboys tight end Blake Jarwin posted a picture of Dak Prescott with the caption, ” wanna run it back in a few months?”

Dak Prescott responded to Jarwin by saying, “that’s the only way I see it.”

Prescott went down with a season-ending ankle injury early during the 2020 season. Without Dak under center, the Cowboys’ offense simply didn’t look the same. Andy Dalton played fine in his absence, but Prescott’s talent was magnified in his absence.

I think it’s time for Jerry Jones to open up his checkbook and give Dak the long-term deal he deserves. He’s one of the best in the game, is a great leader, and the fans love him. Dak Prescott might not be the “perfect” quarterback, but you aren’t going to do any better if you’re the Cowboys. Just pay the man.
