Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys Chosen for HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’

The Dallas Cowboys are about to get even more publicity. The Dallas Cowboys will enter training camp this summer with plenty more cameras to catch their every move, they’ll be starring in the 20th-anniversary edition of the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Hard Knocks. The Dallas Cowboys on Hard Knocks returns on Tuesday, Aug. 10 to give inside access at the storied franchise. This will be the third time the Cowboys haven been featured has been featured. They previously were on the HBO show in 2002 and 2008.

“The Cowboys are one of the most storied franchises in NFL history and a team that elicits strong reactions from fans around the world,” Ken Rodgers, vice president and senior coordinating producer at NFL Films, said in a statement. “Tens of millions of fans love them, but just as many people love to hate them. Either way, when the Cowboys show up people watch, which makes them perfect for Hard Knocks. This year, their high-profile status as ‘America’s Team’ is paired with uniquely interesting storylines. We can’t thank [Jerry] Jones and [Mike] McCarthy enough for letting us tell the story behind what we hope is the beginning of an exciting year in Dallas.”

It will be interesting to see Dak Prescott’s recovery following a brutal ankle injury at the beginning of last season.

Despite Dak’s injury, the Cowboys showed him the love with a  four-year, $160 million deal.
