Chicago Cubs Prospect Hit Umpire With a Bat After Being Ejected

There’s certain unwritten rules about arguing a call in a baseball game, and then there’s this. A Chicago Cubs prospect is reportedly in hot water after he hit an umpire with a bat. Following him being called out on strikes, and then being ejected from the game, the player in question attacked the ump, and actually hit him with his  bat.

Some are even calling for the player to be expelled for life from professional baseball, including MLB reporter Hector Gomez.

“This man must be expelled for life from all sports and recreational activities and, at the same time, must be brought to justice for attempted murder.”

According to the tweet below, this happened at the San José de Ocoa Peasant League.

This prospect probably won’t be getting a call up to the BIGS anytime soon.
