Celtics Rookie Tacko Fall Has Learned To Hit A Stepback 3 And The League May Never Be The Same

Danny Ainge tweeted out this video of Celtics rookie Tacko Fall burying a step back 3 and it reminds me of the plays in the NFL where a lineman rumbles for a big gain off of a fumble or trick play. Even with that slow-motion approach, it’s hard not to get amped up and have fever dreams of Tacko Fall being the video game boss of stretch 5’s who can also defend the rim.

But you have to remember that these guys are NBA players. Remember this video of a somewhat similar player in Mitchell Robinson’s obscene handles and range in a pickup game?

But if Danny Ainge can dream, we can dream. And, if nothing else, I think we’re ready for an all big man 3-Point Contest come All-Star Weekend. Let Tacko, Mitchell and the rest of the boys shine before Aron Baynes rains on the parade and ultimately proves to be the Steph Curry of big men:
