Jamain Stephens Dies From COVID Despite Cal U Canceling Season

Jamain Stephens, 20, was a lineman at the California University of Pennsylvania. First of all, I had no idea there was a California, PA. The more important thing, though, is the COVID complications and the death of a 20-year-old. I said it previously, and I will say it again. Screw COVID. This thing is a monster and it really just sucks. Literally, it is sucking the life out of hundreds of thousands of American people. We need to get a handle on this thing. California had already canceled its 2020 football season because of the COVID pandemic. However, apparently, Jamain Stephens contracted the virus anyway.

COVID is out here canceling sports and everything but, more importantly, it’s canceling lives. Someone is losing their life to the coronavirus every day. I feel for Jamain Stephens and his family. Not only did he not get to play football, but he also didn’t get to wake up to see another day. How sad is that? This virus needs to be taken seriously. This kid was only 20 years of age. It could just as easily be you, or me.

California University confirmed Jamain Stephens’ passing but didn’t mention an exact cause of death. Jamain’s high school, Central Catholic, issued a statement saying “Jamain went to his eternal reward after suffering from complications of COVID-19.” Wow. His eternal reward. I have no idea what you believe, but that is a very optimistic way to put it. It has been said that to die is gain. When we pass, we are removed from all the garbage and the brokenness that is on this green earth. RIP Jamain. Your memory will be eternal.
