Cain Velasquez Arrested for Allegedly Shooting a Man

Not a good look for the UFC.

UFC fighter Cain Velasquez has been arrested in Santa Clara County, California yesterday afternoon. The Heavyweight fighter was booked for shooting another man, allegedly.

The man in question was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Velasquez is currently being held without bail. The details are pretty scarce, and there is no explanation behind why he shot the man.

Via NBC Bay Area:

“Sources with direct knowledge of the investigation confirm for NBC Bay Area that the shooting reported Monday involves UFC and WWE star Cain Velasquez.

Police have not released the circumstances or motive but said one man was shot and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and another man was arrested.

Velasquez was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail and is being held on no bail but it is unclear what charges he faces.”
