Baker Mayfield Has a Message for His Wide Receivers

The Cleveland Browns actually have a winning record for once, and it’s probably because they’ve completely changed their style of offense. It’s a run first type offense, which means some of their most well known players aren’t putting up big numbers.

The Browns definitely have a few divas at the WR position, including one Odell Beckham Jr.

Baker Mayfield has delivered a message to Landry and OBJ, and it’s pretty simple:

“I love you boys. Be patient. I love you,” Mayfield said to the receiver after throwing a fourth-quarter touchdown to Harrison Bryant in Sunday’s 34-20 win over the Washington Football Team.

Jarvis Landry talked about Baker’s message:

“Yeah, of course [it was appreciated],” Landry said, according to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “He has awareness. He understands just as well I am sure as everybody on this call or everybody that watches our games understands, guys want the ball. There’s no question about that.”

Landry is tied for 47th in the NFL with 12 receptions and 54th 143 yards.

He’s yet to catch his first TD pass, and he’s on pace for 64 catches for 762 yards. Beckham is tied for 59th with 11 receptions and 59th with 155 yards. He’s on pace for 59 catches and 827 yards. Beckham has the one TD between them.

There’s only one football, and we know OBJ wants it on every snap.

But you can’t argue with the Browns being 2-1 heading into Dallas this weekend.
