Amazon May Back up the Brinks Truck to Land Sean McVay For Thursday Night Football

Sean McVay teased a very early retirement from coaching in the NFL  following his first Super Bowl Win.

McVay became the youngest coach to ever win the Super Bowl. Even though it sounds like he’s going to ‘Run it Back,” that hasn’t stopped Amazon from making a run at him.

Per a report from the New York Post, Amazon could end up making a “serious run” after McVay to join the broadcast booth.

“Though Rams head coach Sean McVay has said he will continue on the sidelines this year, Amazon could make a serious run at him, according to sources,” writes Andrew Marchand.

McVay makes $8.5 million per year, so the pay raise would have to be significant in order to get McVay to jump ship.

Troy Aikman is expected to make over $17.5 million a year.

McVay should be able to have his cake and eat it too. Why not coach for another 5-10 years and then take the broadcasting job. The guy is young enough to do both.

Plus the NFL needs good coaches like McVay,  so hopefully he’ll continue to do what he does best.
