Aaron Judge’s Girlfriend Plays The ‘Do You Know Who My Boyfriend Is?’ Card During DUI Arrest

TMZ Sports – [A] new police video obtained by TMZ Sports shows Judge’s longtime GF, Samantha Bracksieck, name-dropping the NYY outfielder several times to arresting officers.

The 26-year-old was pulled over at around midnight on Feb. 25 in Scottsdale, Ariz. after cops say they spotted her driving without her headlights on.

During questioning … video shows she admitted to an officer she drank two glasses of wine at Mastro’s Steakhouse before getting behind the wheel. When cops suspected her of being too drunk to drive, they put her through field sobriety tests and administered a breathalyzer. And, after they say she bombed the tests and blew a .12. they put the cuffs on her.

That’s when Samantha became standoffish toward officers … telling them, “Do you understand what you’re doing right now?”
“I just need to get home,” she added. “Do you know who my boyfriend is?!”
The officers responded, “We don’t.”

“This is going to be bad for me,” Sam continued. “I’m just saying that right now.”

Tough look for Samatha Bracksieck. If we were to power rank bad excuses, the “Do you know who I am?” is much higher up than the “Do you know who my ____ is?” defense. If you’re the one who’s accomplished something, even if it’s not actual fame, at least it’s an attempt based off your own reputation. If you’ve done noteworthy things in the world, I understand the logic of attempting to cash in on that for one Get Out Of Jail Free card in life’s game of Monopoly.

Any attempt at using a significant other, or parent, or boss or anything that doesn’t directly reflect your own caste in the world always comes off bad. There’s no sympathy to be found there. And to be clear, there is not likely to ever be a time where either option works with a cop. Maybe if you’re the Mayor or police chief, and even then, that’s prime time for a hard ass cop to show that the law is the law for every man and woman. But they’re not impressed by whom you’re banging or which parent has a trust fund setup for you regardless of how you do at life. They just want to hit their quota for tickets and make sure you don’t drunkenly destroy some innocent family forever.

But when Samantha Bracksieck said “This is going to be bad for me,” it did give me some sympathy towards her relationship with Aaron Judge. Judge has the reputation of a great guy but who knows what the dynamics are of their couple? Maybe Judge’s image is so carefully cultivated that he might leave her over this sullying of it despite however many years they’ve dated. Maybe she’s ashamed and doesn’t want to give him bad headlines. Maybe she’s intimidated by how big he is and, if he gets angrier in real life than he gets on a baseball field, some of the outcome of that. You just don’t know.

At the same time, drunk driving is drunk driving. Just don’t do it. If you do, the results are the results. If you’ve got a “do you know who I am” or “do you know who my father/boyfriend/girlfriend/grandmother/Internet famous pet is” defense somewhere inside of you, you’ve likely got enough money to take an Uber.
