Rudy Gobert Seemingly Slams Report About His Jazz Future

Since the Utah Jazz lost their playoff series against the Mavericks, there has been a lot of buzz about Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, and where the team goes from here.

By all indications, Utah seems to know that they have to shake things up with this particular core if they want to get over the hump in coming years. And that’ll likely start by breaking up the marriage between Gobert and Mitchell.

There has been a reported feud between Mitchell and Gobert for a while now. And after their season concluded, it was said that Gobert told the Jazz it would be a “him or me” type of decision.

Shortly after the story went viral, Rudy Gobert took to social media to seemingly slam the rumors about his feelings towards Donovan Mitchell.

“Everyday has its own new ‘rumor,'” he said.

When Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell first came through the league, it appeared that the Jazz had a real young, competitive team in the making.

But over the past few seasons, they’ve shown flashes, while failing to assert themselves as a top team in the NBA.

Now, it looks like the Jazz front office knows they have to shake things up. And it’ll be interesting to see if a trade market opens up for Rudy Gobert and/or Donovan Mitchell over the Summer.
