Patrick Beverley Punished For Ridiculous Celebration After Play-In Game Win

You would have thought Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley just won the damn championship based on his celebration following the team’s play-in victory over the Clippers on Wednesday night.

Pat Bev ripped off his jersey, jumped up on the scorers table, and yelled expletives, before carrying over to his press conference — where he continued his antics.

After all that, Patrick Beverley and the T-Wolves were mocked by many different outlets.

On Thursday, it was announced that Patrick Beverley was being fined $30K by the NBA for his antics.

It’s likely Patrick Beverley’s post-game comments that played the largest role in the fine.

“Take they ass home,” Beverley said of what he told his old teammates at the end of the game during his postgame media interview session. “Long flight to L.A. Take they ass home. It’s deeper than that for me. I gave my blood and sweat and tears to that organization. You guys know the story.

Now, Patrick Beverley and the Timberwolves will take on the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. God only knows what that celebration will be like if they’re able to pull off the upset.
