Nick Nurse Speaks On Rumors Linking Him To Lakers Job

Would Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse pounce at an opportunity to coach the lakers?

When LA pulled the plug on Frank Vogel following their disastrous season, it was reported that they had some interesting in prying Nurse from Toronto.

But when speaking with reporters on Monday afternoon, Nick Nurse brushed aside any rumors linking him to the vacant Lakers job.

“I don’t know where that stuff comes from, and I’m focused on coaching this team,” he said.

Nick Nurse did an admirable job coaching a Raptors team that lacked as much talent as top teams across the NBA this year.

Proving to be tough and scrappy down the stretch, Nurse’s Raptors gave the Sixers a run for their money in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. But it’s clear that they’ll need to make some additions in order to get back to their championship standard.

Luckily for Raptors fans, though, they have a top coach in the league in Nick Nurse. And at least for now, he isn’t going anywhere.
