Since Max Kellerman left ESPN’s “First Take”, we have heard a classic hot take from him in a while. But on Tuesday, he was back in a big way.
After the Lakers fired Frank Vogel as their head coach, everyone’s been weighing in on who the team should hire to pair with LeBron James. But Kellerman has a different idea altogether: why not just let LeBron be a player/coach?
He shared his crazy thought during a segment on his show Tuesday morning.
Earlier in the week, it was reported that LeBron James would be interested in the team hiring Mark Jackson as their next head coach.
Jackson has not been in the NBA since he was fired by the Warriors following the 2013 season. But it would appear that he’ll get another chance to lead a franchise at some point.
Either way, it’s a safe bet to assume that LeBron James will not be handed the entire team by the Lakers brass. And I think Max Kellerman knew he was going to get a rise out of the crowd with his latest crazy take.
