Mark Cuban Tries To Explain Elon Musk’s Attempt To Purchase Twitter

Billionaire businessman Elon Musk is dominating news headlines on Thursday after he revealed that he was making a pitch to purchase Twitter.

Musk has been critical of the platforms censorship, specifically of right-wing personalities and politicians. And now, he’s attempting to create a change he wants to see on the app.

But Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban isn’t necessarily buying Elon Musk’s reasoning for wanting to purchase Twitter. In fact, Cuban thinks Musk is just using his attempted purchase to try to get around the SEC.

“My conclusion @elonmusk is f-cking with the SEC,” Cuban tweeted. “His filing w/the SEC allows him to say he wants to take a company private for $54.20 Vs. his ‘Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. Funding secured.’ Price go up. His shares get sold. Profit (up) SEC like WTF just happened.”

Mark Cuban wasn’t the only prominent member of the sports community to weigh in on Elon Musk and the Twitter news.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady also weighed in — although his input was far less serious. TB12 just wanted Elon to remove the viral picture of him looking flabby at the combine from Twitter’s existence, if he were to complete the purchase.

“If you buy twitter can you delete the combine photo?” Bradys asked Musk on Twitter.

For now, Elon Musk has not responded to Mark Cuban or Tom Brady.
