The New York Knicks got their guy in rising star, Jalen Brunson.
After a good showing in the past playoffs with the Mavericks for Brunson, the Knicks opened up their check book in a big way to make sure they landed the point guard when free agency began earlier in the week.

But for Knicks fans, Jalen Brunson probably wasn’t the big splash they were hoping for this offseason, and Vegas oddsmakers shared that sentiment.
Even after signing Brunson, the Knicks’ odds to win the championship were completely unchanged.

Sure, adding Jalen Brunson will give the Knicks a much needed boost to their backcourt for next season. But to think this changes their long-shot odds to compete next season is just wrong.
Earlier in the offseason, the Knicks upset many fans when they traded away their first round draft pick. And they’re not currently being linked to any of the other top free agents.
Sure, having Jalen Brunson for the next four seasons should be nice for the Knicks. But perhaps they were best suited to use their cap space to fill other holes on their roster.
