Klay Thompson’s Comments On The Ocean Go Viral

Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson has been getting help from an unlikely source to keep his body in shape during the postseason: the Ocean.

Following the Game 5 win over the Celtics, Klay revealed that he spends time in a natural body of water to help cure him of all the wear and tear his body endures since his long recovery from an ACL injury.

“It doesn’t matter what time of the year it is. The Bay, you know, it can be cold, but when it’s one of those days when it’s in the low 60s and the sun is shining, I make it a point to jump in the ocean,” Thompson said. “I just think the ocean has healing properties that a pool might not have, or a cool tub. Just to be immersed in nature like that, it really makes me happy. Your whole body feels so great when you get out of that cold water. Honestly you just feel a little closer to God when you look up at the beautiful skies and you’re just in the ocean …

“I’m an Aquarius so I just have always loved the water my whole life. It really is my happy place, besides the hardwood.”

Ahead of Game 5, Klay Thompson posted a picture on Instagram of himself soaking in the son while in the ocean.

“The ocean heals my mind, body and soul,” Klay captioned the image.

In Game 5, Klay Thompson dropped 21 points in over 40 minutes of play.

Needless to say, it’s more than likely that Thompson is getting in some ocean time to ensure that he’s able to play similar amounts of minutes for the remainder of the NBA Finals.

If the Warriors are able to win another game to clinch the series, it would be a great redemption story for Klay Thompson.
