Dana White Sheds Light On Who Jon Jones Will Be Fighting Next

We haven’t seen Jon Jones back in The Octagon since his dominant win over Dominic Reyes in 2020. But during an interview on Tuesday, UFC president Dana White might have hinted at some future plans for the controversial star.

When going on with”The Pat McAfee Show”, White was asked if he has plans for a fight involving Jon Jones and heavyweight Francis Ngannou. But White insisted that it was more likely that Jones would fight fellow veteran Stipe Miocic — with the winner of that fight getting a crack at Ngannou.

Jon Jones recently indicated that a Stipe Miocic fight date could come in September.

“I heard originally it would be July 2,” Jones said via MMA Fighting. “I think when Stipe got that date, he decided that — I heard he’s been doing a lot of weightlifting, not a lot of MMA training — he wanted to put his best foot forward.

“I respect that. He’s a great champion. He deserves that. I think he asked for September 24 and I’m hoping that’s going to be in Las Vegas.”

Now, both Jon Jones and Dana White have alluded to a Jones-Stipe Miocic card. Let’s make it happen.
