Count Sergio Garcia among the few current PGA golfers who are bound to be interested by the forming Saudi League.
During the first round of the Wells Fargo Championship, Garcia gave a not-so-subtle hint that he was halfway out the door of the PGA Tour when having a disagreement with a rules official.
On the 10th hole, Sergio hit a drive well into the thick grass. While Garcia was able to find the ball in the tall grass, he was told by a rules official that he was still being hit with a one stroke penalty for taking too long to find the ball.
That’s when Sergio Garcia lost it.
Sergio Garcia, frustrated with what he thought was the early start of the clock to look for a lost ball, seemingly telling a rules official…
…I cant wait to leave this tour
…cant wait to get outta here

Sergio Garcia was ripped by the golf community over his tirade.

I’m sorry but that is unacceptable from Sergio Garcia. The PGA Tour has given him everything in his career and he wants to act like a spoilt brat all because he hit a bad shot. Oh poppet. Do me a favour and jog on to the Saudi League 👍🏽

If this isn’t peak Sergio Garcia, I don’t know what is.
Nothing like announcing to the world you’re headed to LIV Golf than by dropping the news while arguing with a rules official. pic.twitter.com/8BaZHggunL

The first event of the LIV Tour is scheduled to take place in early June just outside of London. And according to Sergio Garcia’s words, he’ll be in attendance.
Garcia could also be heard saying, “I can’t wait to leave this tour… can’t wait to get outta here.” he said while also letting loose with a few expletives.
Sergio Garcia would join the likes of Lee Westwood, Bryson DeChambeau, Phil Mickelson and a few others to show interest in leaving the PGA Tour for the alternative.
It’s safe to say that the PGA won’t miss Garcia’s presence all too much if he were to leave…
