Floyd “Money” Mayweather Mulling (Another) Comeback; Shows off $25 Million Watch Collection

All-time great boxer Floyd “Money” Mayweather broached the subject of another comeback fight, or perhaps two fights. The undefeated boxer won fifteen major world titles through his illustrious career and has retired undefeated from boxing several times. Most recently, Mayweather left the sport in 2017 after his “fight” with UFC’s Connor McGregor, with  perfect 50-0 mark that many thought would make the retirement permanent.

The now 43-year-old fighter is widely regarded as the greatest defensive boxer in history and his technique has been flawless throughout his career, which could support a comeback even at his advanced age. Mayweather also has had a lot of success with setting his fights, making sure he’s never quite under too much threat of losing that perfect record in fights over the last decade or so.

Joined by a celebrity jeweler, which I’m not entirely sure means a person famous for jeweling or a person who jewels celebrities – Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems, celebrity jeweler? – Mayweather goes through his insane watch collection and gives an over/under for the value. Totaling things up across the five watches we’re looking at roughly $25,000,000 in timepieces. Nobody tell Floyd there’s a clock on his phone.

Mayweather would go on to share additional thoughts about his potential comeback, saying it would be a fight in Tokyo “whether 2020 or 2021.” Mayweather also clarified that he would not be fighting MMA under any circumstances. Despite recent rumors that he was training in mixed fighting skills, regarding a possible MMA fight, Mayweather told Forbes “No, I think just like how winning teams receive home-field advantage in the playoffs…you don’t fix what isn’t broken, and my record isn’t broken.”

The undefeated champ would go on to share his thoughts about gambling, after a rumored $13 million wager on the Super Bowl. “The gaming industry is massive and often overlooked by the horror stories of bettors who aren’t disciplined. But the industry itself employs hundreds of thousands of people, helps support state economies and most importantly, now, creates hope through the excitement of winning big.”

For a final thought on the potential comeback, Mayweather shared a mentality that degenerate DFS players all over the world can identify with, saying “For now, I’m happily retired.
