Kirk Gibson, Clayton Kershaw And Other Legends React To Death Of Vin Scully

Baseball lost its voice this week.

Late Tuesday night, it was announced that longtime Dodgers play-by-play announcer Vin Scully had passed away at the age of 94.

Vin Scully had many legendary calls and moments in the booth throughout his illustrious career. But there’s little argument that the most iconic was the call of Kirk Gibson’s walk-off home run in Game One of the 1988 World Series.

After Vin Scully’s death was reported, Kirk Gibson himself took to social media to send his condolences to the GOAT.

Dodgers longtime ace Clayton Kershaw also spoke at length about Vin Scully.

“He was the best that ever was. Just when you think about the Dodgers, there’s a lot of history here and there are a lot of people that have come through. It’s just a storied franchise all the way around. But it almost starts with Vin,” Kershaw said.

Other MLB legends also chimed in on social media to pay tribute to Vin Scully.

There will never be another Vin Scully.

RIP to a true legend.
