The coach was given a citation, but not arrested, on September 6th, after he was pulled over after driving erratically and speeding.
Few was pulled over and officer’s conducted a sobriety test where he blew .119 and .120, which are both over the .08 legal limit.
Few apologized publicly for his actions, but was suspended and will miss the “Midnight Madness”, the team’s first two pre-season games, as well as the season opener against Dixie State on November 9th.
The Zags has been to the final four two years in a row under Few as the team looks to rebound after a loss in the finals against Baylor, where they came in to the game undefeated for the season.
Few stated that, “I know this impacts our student-athletes and the coaching staff as we begin the season. I understand the severity of my actions and am sorry for the impact this consequence has on our team. Thank you again to those who have supported me, my family, and our program throughout this process.”
Coach Few will rejoin the team for their second game of the season against Texas at home on November 13th.
