Erin Andrews Struggling to Have Baby, Going Through 7th Round of IVF

Erin Andrews baby struggle is real. The former ESPN employee turned Fox sideline reporter is 43 years old, and is currently trying to have a baby with her former NHL husband Jarett Stoll. The Fox Sports reporter revealed on her blog, The Real Deal with Erin Andrews, that she is currently undergoing in vitro fertilization treatments to try to start a family with husband Jarret Stoll.

Erin has been trying to conceive since she was 35 years old.

“I have to admit, as much as I’m trying to enjoy the last few weeks before the NFL season kicks off, it has been a bit challenging for me. On top of being on a special assignment last week where I was sometimes working up to 14 hours a day, I also had to set aside time for IVF treatment. For those familiar, you know it’s a time-consuming and emotionally draining process. This is my 7th one, and I’ve been going through these treatments since I was 35 years old.

I’m now 43, so my body is kind of stacked against me. I have been trying to do IVF treatment for a while now, but sometimes it doesn’t go the way you want it. Your body just doesn’t allow it.”

Andrews shared how she feels forced between her career and wanting to have a child.

“I work in an industry where I think women feel the need to keep things like this quiet,” she wrote on her blog. “But no, there are so many other women who maybe put their careers on the back burner because they don’t want to miss out on any opportunities. It’s so common that people are starting families late and put so many other aspects of their lives on hold.”

Props to Erin Andrews for talking about a subject many would be embarrassed to broach in a public forum.

If sharing her journey helps even one person, then it’s all worth it.
