Bill Belichick Gives Odd Answer to Tom Brady Super Bowl Question

Tom Brady versus Bill Belichick, who you got? After last season, most people are leaning towards Tom Brady, as the GOAT has surpassed the legendary coach in his first season in Tampa Bay. Belichick was asked Wednesday whether he congratulated Brady following his Super Bowl win.

Instead of offering a simple “yes” or “no,” Belichick sidestepped the question, saying he would keep those types of conversations private.

The question and answer occurs around the 9:05 mark:

“I’ll keep those conversations privately between myself and the other people that are involved. Appreciate the question.”

Belichick went 7-9 without Brady, and missed the playoffs for the first time since the 2008 season.

Belichick is a competitor, and as much as he probably respects Tom, he’s not about to kiss his ass in public.
