Cole Beasley Done Talking About The COVID Vaccine

Buffalo Bills receiver Cole Beasley has made his opinion very clear when it comes to the COVID-19 vaccine. He will not be taking the shot, and he also thinks that the NFL putting restrictions on unvaccinated players is ridiculous.

Beasley has been very active with his beliefs on social media throughout the offseason. But he says he’s had enough of that.

“I said all I needed to say,” Beasley told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, according to Pro Football Talk. “I’m just living a normal life from here on out. I’m not trying to sway anybody in either direction. That’s what I am doing and that’s the end of it.”

Cole Beasley isn’t upset that he voiced his opinion, but he also doesn’t want to be a distraction to the team.

“I don’t want [to] be any more of a distraction to my team so that’s where I’m leaving it,” Beasley said.

Just last week, Cole Beasley lashed out at the NFLPA for not pushing back against the NFL’s rule to have restrictions on players who did not receive the vaccine.

“The players association is a joke. Call it something different. It’s not for the players,” Beasley said on Twitter last Thursday. “Everyone gives me the 98 percent of people who are vaccinated don’t get covid again. The odds of me getting in the NFL and playing for 10 years are lower than that and I’m here. … So what are we really talking about? I understand completely why the NFL is doing this. It gives them back the freedom to make the most money as possible again if everyone is vaccinated. But will anyone fight for the players or nah?”

While Cole Beasley’s comments on the COVID vaccine are pretty unpopular with fans, I’m sure he has a lot of fellow players around the league happy that he’s speaking up for the unvaccinated guys.

Like it or not, a lot of athletes are choosing not to take the vaccine (for whatever reason). Beasley might be the most outspoken, but he certainly is not an anomaly.

We’ll see if this is really the last we’ve heard from Cole Beasley on the subject.
