Julio Jones Reportedly Had No Idea He Was On Live TV During Shannon Sharpe Call

Fs1 host Shannon Sharpe went viral recently when he called Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones to ask about his status in regards to being traded before the season starts.

Jones responded to Sharpe by saying that he’s, “out of there” when asked about Atlanta.

Shannon Sharpe has been (kind of) under fire since the move after some are speculating that he could have been violating some treason laws if Julio had no idea that he was speaking publicly during the phone call.

According to Pat McAfee, Jones, indeed, had no clue that Shannon Sharpe was airing his comments to his audience across the country.

“Per my media source,” McAfee said in his typical joking tone. “They did not know. FOX, Julio, nobody knew that was happening and that is why we have seen the reactions out of FOX we have seen…”

If Pat McAfee is right that Shannon Sharpe didn’t plan out his phone call to Julio Jones beforehand, then that’s kind of a low blow.

Julio Jones thought he was speaking candidly to one of his friends, and the whole thing turned into a headline for many publishers.

Nobody would be surprised if Julio Jones gets traded before the season. But let’s let the man speak on his future when he wants to.
