Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo Trending Over His Passionate Rant On Texas Elementary School Shooting

Like many Americans this week, Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo is fed up.

The long time debate-style analyst started his appearance on “Get Up” this morning by tearing into lawmakers who refused to take action following the tragic shooting at an elementary school on Tuesday.

“It’s absolutely absurd. America, shape up, wake up and do something. I don’t care what it is,” Russo said in part.

“I live 20 minutes from Sandy Hook. I was there five days later. That is an absolute disgrace that in nine years we have done nothing. This does not happen in Europe, Japan, China, Israel. Name the country. It happens here. The United States of America. Because of you politicians, in this case most of them Republicans, and the President. Go out there and do something. Let’s go. It can’t be that hard.”

Christopher Russo didn’t stop there, either. Later on his radio show, the “Mad Dog” doubled down on his original rant, even taking it a step further this time.

Christopher Russo joined many in the sports community who spoke out against gun laws after the horrific shooting. But perhaps nobody other than “Mad Dog” was more passionate than Warriors coach Steve Kerr — who spoke before the playoff game on Tuesday night.

“There’s 50 senators right now who refuse to vote on H.R.8, which is a background check rule that the House passed a couple of years. It’s been sitting there from two years. And there’s a reason they won’t vote on it. To hold onto power,” he said in part of his comments.

Good for Steve Kerr and Christopher Russo for using their platforms to try to create real change that we haven’t seen after all these mass shootings.
