The MLB lockout is finally over! Which means Freddie Freeman and other top-of-the-line free agents are now open to sign with prospective teams.
Freeman figures to have a big market for his services. Even though he’s reaching the twilight years of his career, the first baseman has still proven to be one of the best pure hitters in all of baseball — playing an integral role in bringing a surprising World Series Trophy to Atlanta last season.
While most fans believed the Braves would do whatever it takes to keep Freddie Freeman with them for the duration of his career, that’s starting to look less and less likely.
According to ESPN’s Buster Only, the Yankees are looking to move “quickly” to bring the slugger to The Bronx.
As the transactions begin, some rival executives curious about whether the Yankees attempt to move quickly on Freddie Freeman.

Freddie Freeman is coming off another stellar year in his incredibly consistent career.
In 2021, he hit 31 home runs and notched 83 RBIs. It was also the fifth season in the past six where Freeman had a .300 batting average or higher.
Adding Freeman would give the Yankees another true superstar in the middle of the lineup, and send a huge warning signal to the entire American League.
Don’t be surprised if they (or another team) act fast on swooping up Freddie Freeman.
