Video Has Been Leaked Of Eagles TE Dallas Goedert Sucker Punched At A Restaurant And It Is Brutal

I had no idea there were mean streets in South Dakota but this video of Dallas Goedert knocked out seems to prove otherwise. Reports on the seemingly undeserved assault are light on details, from ESPN:

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert was taken to the hospital after being sucker punched at a South Dakota restaurant Friday night, a league source confirmed.

He has since returned home and is “fine,” a source said.

A suspect was arrested Saturday, a source said.

The incident occurred at the Zoo Bar in Aberdeen, according to the Mitchell Republic, which reported that police were called to the scene on a report “of people busting glasses and have busted heads.”

The video seems to indicate that Dallas Goedert was merely trying to break an altercation up before the unexpected haymaker that left him lying.

Even though a one-punch KO is something you could poke fun at, Dallas Goedert is probably lucky it went down as it did. No one went at him on the ground and it mostly seemed like concern for the tight end who legitimately might be the only noteworthy athlete from South Dakota. Not the way to treat a local icon. It seems like it’s him or Brock Lesnar for #1 unless you’ve got a particularly soft spot for Mike Miller.

Either way, good to see the guy with the sucker punch has been arrested and that Dallas Goedert is fine after the altercation. May he have many healthy games of vulturing Zach Ertz touchdowns to come.
