LeBron James and Zlatan Ibrahimovic made headlines this week when they went back and forth with a war of words. The AC Milan forward said LeBron irks him due to his political activism; saying he’d be better off sticking to basketball. LeBron didn’t care for Zlatan’s dig.
“I will never shut up about things that are wrong. I preach about my people and I preach about equality, social justice, racism, voter suppression — things that go on in our community,” LeBron said via CNN.
“I’ll use my platform to continue to shed light on everything that’s going on around this country and around the world. There’s no way I would ever just stick to sports, because I understand how powerful this platform and my voice is.”

While most agreed with LeBron that he’s right to use his platform in whatever way he sees fit, the crazies have come out of the woodworks to back up Zlatan. Among those people is UFC fighter and well-known Trumper Colby Covington.
Covington took to social media to lash out at LeBron James.
“When are you gonna speak up about Hong Kong? Oh that’s right, you can’t. You’re a Chinese finger puppet! You make millions playing a kids game & talk about “social justice” but have no problem paying Chinese women in sweatshops pennies to make your products. Slimeball,” Colby Covington wrote to LeBron James.
Covington has been outspoken in the past, and I’m sure we’ll hear plenty more from him as we continue to see more and more athletes speak up on what they believe in.
