Tyrann Mathieu Takes Issue With Giants Owner John Mara Basically Telling Players To ‘Shut Up And Play’ With Taunting Comments

Count Tyrann Mathieu as one of many players who are fed up with the NFL’s new crackdown on taunting around the league. And Giants owner John Mara’s comments on Tuesday didn’t help the matter one bit.

Mara, who is a member of the NFL’s Competition Committee, revealed earlier that he was ‘sick and tired of the talking’ going on down on the field during games.

Shortly after John Mara’s comments went viral, Tyrann Mathieu chimed in on social media.

“So shut up and play? Got it,” Mathieu wrote in response to Mara.

Tyrann Mathieu is having a big day on social media. Just earlier, the star safety opened up on the ‘disrespect’ he was receiving after it was announced that Jamal Adams was getting a massive new contract with the Seahawks.

With Mathieu’s contract expiring after the season, he’s hoping to get paid similarly to the $70 Million Adams received from Seattle.

If Tyrann Mathieu were to leave Kansas City, it’s not looking like he’d be interested in playing for John Mara’s Giants.

We’ll see if Mara attempts to walk back his comments after all the backlash.
