Watch: Tottenham’s Serge Reguilon Had A Brutal Own Goal In The Game Against Aston Villa On Wednesday

Tottenham left-back Serge Reguilon was the subject of a lot of jokes on social media after he beat his own goaltender with a top-shelf own goal when trying to clear the ball.

Reguilon swiped at the ball from the outside of his own 18-yard box. The ball went off his foot the wrong way and went perfectly past Hugo Lloris in goal. It was undoubtedly one of the most laughable goals of the 2021 season.

After the play, Reguilon was visibly upset with himself and had to be picked up off the grass by some of his teammates.

Sergio Reguilon and Tottenham were hoping to put on a show in front of the fans, who were allowed back at the stadium for the first time today. Unfortunately, Reguilon didn’t make the best impression.

Aton Villa finished the first half leading Tottenham by a score of 2-1.
