The Awful Play Calling Of Freddie Kitchens Is Back Just In Time For The Browns Game

Freddie Kitchens had one season as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns and it was abysmal. However, Kitchens is poised to step into a big role on Sunday when he faces his former team. The New York Giants announced on Thursday that offensive coordinator Jason Garrett has tested positive for COVID-19. Kitchens, who is the teams’ tight end coach will get the chance to step into the play-calling role.

All thanks to Jason Garrett, the Freddie Kitchens narratives will be making a return. The man who kicks field goals to turn a one-possession game into a one-possession game in critical game scenarios is back. And it’s against the Browns, who have been much more successful since his inevitable firing. The opportunity couldn’t be any more golden for Freddie Kitchens. Browns fans everywhere are going to be waiting for him to show signs of the guy who they fired.

Perhaps the best part about Freddie Kitchens getting the call is that he may be dealing with Colt McCoy at starting quarterback. If Daniel Jones is unable to suit up again that will likely be how things play out. Despite the criticism of Freddie Kitchens, there is no greater narrative than a revenge game. Maybe this will be his time to shine. However, I wouldn’t hold your breath if you are a Giants fan.
