Super Bowl LV Audio Between Tom Brady, Tyrann Mathieu Won’t be Released

There wasn’t too much excitement during the Super Bowl, minus the streaker, and a quick confrontation between Tom Brady and Tyrann Mathieu. Following the game, the Chiefs star defensive back claimed Tom used some words that he’d rather not share. He quickly deleted the tweet, and later it was reported Tom sent him a text to apologize.

Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL’s in-house production company won’t be disclosing the content of the exchange between Brady and Mathieu. As the source explained it, NFL Films typically does not reveal the audio of such squabbles between players

Now the NFL won’t be releasing the audio, but According to Michael Irvin who was able to view it, it didn’t go down like Tyrann claimed:

“I didn’t like that Tyrann Mathieu put that out like that, the way he put it out, honestly, because I thought — come on, now, it makes people want to know ‘What’d he say,’ as if he said the n-word. And he did not. Tom did not,” Irvin said. “So I don’t even like that looming over this situation. So that’s why I think we should clean that up somewhere, somehow. That’s what I’m saying. He didn’t say that.”

It would be so easy for the NFL to release the audio and clear things up in a jif, but you just know they have to be enjoying the press they’re getting from this particular on field squabble.

Something definitely feels off about them choosing not to release. . .
