Some Jaguars Players ‘Aren’t Thrilled’ About Urban Meyer’s Coaching Style

Urban Meyer is still learning the ropes of running an NFL team, and apparently his style is rubbing some players the wrong way. Prisco, a former Jaguars beat writer, said “some of the players aren’t thrilled with him either, including having a microphone on the field, one of his assistants on the field during practice with a boom mic, telling everybody to hydrate and hustle and get to the next period.

“He’s got to change a few things. He brought a bunch of college-like things to the program, which I don’t necessarily agree with,” Prisco said.

“And I’ve heard some of the players aren’t thrilled with him either, including having a microphone on the field – one of his assistants on the field during practice with a boom mic, telling everybody to hydrate and hustle and get to the next period,” he added.

Meyer’s first eight months as an NFL coach have been chock full of questions.

Winning cures all, but that won’t be an easy feat for the first year NFL coach.
