Social Media Is Blowing Up With Ronda Rousey Revealing Her Great-Grandfather Was One Of The First Black Physicians In North America

The internet is blowing up today because of something Ronda Rousey revealed.

The former UFC star was caught on the street by TMZ, alongside her mom, AnnMaria De Mars. Trying to get anything out of Rousey, the TMZ cameraman asked Rousey what the last movie she saw was. She answered by saying they had watched “Before His Time,” a movie about Dr. Alfred Waddell, who was one of the first African-American physicians on this continent.

Ronda Rousey’s mother then revealed that Dr. Waddell is actually her grandfather.

“Before His Time. It’s about my grandfather, Ronda’s great-grandfather. They show it during Black History Month every year in Canada because he was one of the first black physicians in North America,” De Mars told TMZ.
