In court documents obtained by TMZ Sports, it shows that Evander was granted a TRO earlier this month after he alleged his wife Anna Kane had been violent with him.

Evander detailed events of physical altercations which commenced in 2019, just one year in to their marriage, where she hit him “7-8 times in the face with her fist,” according to court documents.

In October of 2020, Evander says Anna struck him in the face after they had an argument while Anna’s mother was visiting. It was also documented that Evander said Anna exploded on him after she had gone through his phone in April of this year.

Evander added that in July there was another incident where Anna pushed him and tugged on the bag he had thrown over his shoulder.Anna publicly stated that the NHL should look in to Evander as he has racked up major gambling debts and suggested that he could even be throwing games to pay off people he owes. Anna previously filled for divorce on July 16th after accusing him of being a deadbeat dad who has massive gambling issues.

Anna even accused Evander of abandoning their daughter and going out to party in Europe.

Evander was granted a temporary restraining order against Anna and is now seeking a permanent one against her. The hearing is scheduled for next September, according to TMZ.
