Robert Horry Tells Questionable Racist Phil Jackson Story

Robert Horry sounds off on accusations that Phil Jackson is racist. Scottie Pippen has been the talk of the internet this week after he dropped some major controversial remarks about his former head coach, Phil Jackson. The Chicago Bulls called out his former coach for being a racist, pointing to a specific play that he believes was racially motivated. Not one single player has come foward to back Scottie on his belief Phil is a racist. Shaquille O’Neal spoke to FanSided, saying “I don’t want to get involved in other people’s beef, but Phil is definitely not a racist.”

Robert Horry is the latest player to comment on Phil, he said he doesn’t believe Phil is racist on his podcast, “Big Shot Bob Pod.”

But Horry did talk about Phil once using a questionable phrase to his players, which did make him question Phil.

“We were in the huddle and Phil was like, ‘You need to know the sound of your master’s voice,’” Horry said. “I looked at him, I was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, nah, we don’t do that. I’m from the South.’”

Out of context this sounds pretty racist, but knowing how Phil works, it must have meant something completely different.

So it sounds like outside of that one incident, Horry didn’t get any racist vibes from Phil.

Scottie trippin’.
