Peyton And Eli Manning Set To Call “Monday Night Football” For ESPN

There has been a lot of speculation into what Peyton Manning and Eli Manning would have planned after their playing days. And now, we have part of the answer.

ESPN announced on Monday that they were in agreement with Manning’s Omaha Productions for the decorated brothers to team up on Monday Night Football calls for the time being.

The alternate telecast will air 10 games a year on ESPN2 and have a rotation of celebrity guest joining the Manning brothers every week.

“Offering multiple Monday Night Football viewing options for the next three seasons continues our innovation efforts and provides additional value for our fans,” said Jimmy Pitaro, Chairman of ESPN and Sports Content. “Peyton and Eli will bring a different approach, delving into conversation about broader, big-picture topics while also honing in on the game, much like fans do when watching with their family and friends.”

Peyton Manning is currently hosting a new game show. And networks have been trying to get him to sign on as a broadcaster for some time now.

While Peyton has yet to commit to a full-time gig, this partnership with Eli Manning and ESPN is the largest step he has taken thus far.

“This partnership with ESPN and The Walt Disney Company reflects an ongoing, shared commitment to offering fans fun, innovative content,” said Peyton Manning. “ESPN+ has been a terrific partner for Omaha Productions as we built out The Places franchise and we’re excited to co-create a new MegaCast format that will have something for everyone.”

I’ll probably give Peyton and Eli Manning’s broadcast a shot. I mean, it can’t be much worse than the main “Monday Night Football” broadcast, can it?
