Many Believe Bill Belichick Set The Brian Flores Lawsuit In Motion To Get Revenge On The NFL

Bill Belichick has a strange part in the Brian Flores racism lawsuit against the NFL and several teams.

The suit stemmed from the hiring process that has discriminated against black NFL coaches for many years. But a piece of evidence in Flores’ case is text messages from Belichick. Apparently the Patriots coach meant to text Brian Daboll to congratulate him on getting the Giants job, but texted Flores instead.

This led to a rather awkward back-and-forth, especially given the Flores still had an interview with the Giants set up for later in the week.

After the bizarre text message was sent all of social media, many are convinced that Bill Belichick sent Brian Flores the “mistake text” on purpose, knowing it would lead to a whole situation for the league. Perhaps this was Belichick’s revenge for deflategate and spy gate?

Bill Belichick and the Patriots have seemingly gotten over the investigations from the NFL. Either that, or he was waiting for the perfect opportunity to get back at the league, and this was it.

Either way, Brian Flores now has a long road to get justice for all the black NFL coaches who have been passed up or passed over despite having equal or better resumes as their white colleagues. And the act to start the suit now — potential leaving coaching jobs on the table — is commendable.

It’s crazy to think a Bill Belichick errant text started the Brian Flores action. But maybe the veteran coach knew exactly what he was doing all along.
