N’Keal Harry’s Trainer Takes a Shot at Cam Newton

New England Patriots are still dealing with life after Tom Brady. The man in charge now is Cam Newton, a former MVP. Cam hasn’t been terrible on the ground for the Patriots, but it’s completely obvious to everyone who’s watching Cam throw, something is off with his arm. He does not look great throwing the ball.

Pats wideout N’Keal Harry has seen his production dip with Cam under center. And his trainer is speaking out on his behalf, taking a shot at Cam’s mechanics.

Via Pats Wire:

“He’s a first-round draft pick, so he’s got to live up to it this year,” Whitfield told Patriots Wire on Tuesday.

“We’ve got a new quarterback. We’ve got to put some of that (expletive) on Cam,” Whitfield said. “Cam hasn’t been the most accurate this year. Like if (N’Keal) had Tom Brady, Tom Brady would’ve fed him. But we’re back there with Cam and Cam’s getting acclimated to the offense, too.”

Whitfield added: “It’s a big deal coming from Tom Brady to Cam Newton. … That’s one of Cam Newton’s biggest issues is mechanics.”

Of course, it’s Cam’s fault for not having a great arm this season. That’s how the cookie crumbles, sometimes you have a great QB to throw to you, other times you don’t. But you really can’t blame anyone for lack of production. Go make plays happen.

Harry needs to tell his trainer to shut up and do what he does best, train.
